Important information regarding mattress warranties & guaranties:
a) Take special note of the maximum weight per person allowed to sleep on the mattress.
b) Body impressions of up to 3cm are a normal occurrence and are an indication that the comfort layers are compressing and conforming to your own body’s individual contours. They are not an indication of a material defect but rather that the mattress is becoming more suitable to you. To equalize these contours it is important to rotate your mattress once a month.
c) Never attempt to clean your mattress with chemical detergents or cleaners but rather protect your mattress with an under blanket or mattress protector. At all times avoid stains. Soilage can negate the warranty. Never allow the product to get wet.
d) Should your product be found to be in an unsanitary condition, De Beers Furniture & Our Providers reserves the right to refuse service.
e) Take note of the point regarding foundation(base) for the mattress if not the same brand as the mattress or a wooden bed purchased from De Beers Furniture.
f) Please note that bases have separate warranties than mattresses, please read in the warranty booklet, 4 month factory warranty.
g) Turn-mattresses should be turned and/or rotated at least every 6 weeks, please read warranty booklet for guidance. In the first 3 months, the mattress should be turned or rotated every 2 weeks, for ultimate calibration of mattress.
i) No-turn mattresses should be rotated at least every 6 weeks, please read warranty booklet for guidance. In the first 3 months, the mattress should be turned or rotated every 2 weeks, for ultimate calibration of mattress.
j) The inspection costs when inspections are done at the customer’s home is not covered in the warranty, especially if the home is not in the same town where the mattress was bought.
k) Please note, a warranty is a service warranty, it is not a guarantee and there is normally a service fee associated to a service. Please ask your sales consultant for more information.

Mattress lifetimes

Entry level or budget mattresses are only made for anything from 6 to 36 months, depending on the quality of the mattress. Mid level mattresses are generally for a lifetime of 3-5 years. Top level mattresses are generally for a lifetime 8-10 years, even though you might get a much longer service warranty period for the mattress, it should ideally be replaced in those timelines.
